DHL Aviation has selected Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) and SATS HK to provide cargo and ramp operations at Hong Kong International Airport.

The partnership between AAT, ground handler SATS HK and DHL Air Capacity Sales (DHL ACS), which manages airport-to-airport cargo capacity across its global network, commenced last month with AAT handling cargo operations for key DHL network carriers.

Since then, the parties have handled more than 50 weekly freighter operations. Meanwhile, SATS HK provides ramp handling solutions.

Paul Ennis, vice president ACS global operations at DHL, said: “We are delighted to partner with AAT & SATS HK in Hong Kong, further extending our successful cooperation with SATS in Asia.

“We look forward to their innovative solutions playing a key role in delivering excellent service quality levels, which we pride ourselves on providing our customers throughout our global network.”

DHL also works with SATS in Singapore.

Bob Chi, chief executive, gateway services Asia Pacific, SATS, added: “This partnership with DHL to serve their largest twin hubs in Asia Pacific at Hong Kong and Singapore is a significant milestone for SATS in our journey to deliver end-to-end air cargo logistics solutions to our airline customers and the global air cargo industry.

“The appointment of AAT and SATS HK demonstrates DHL’s strong endorsement of our commitment and ability to provide innovative, integrated solutions that enhance operational efficiency and service quality.”

AAT provides cargo handling services for leading airlines, including physical cargo handling, documentation processing, and specialised solutions.

SATS HK, which is a joint venture between Hong Kong Airlines and SATS, delivers ground handling services encompassing passenger handling, ramp operations, flight operations, baggage services and load control.
